Rob Allen, Chief Executive Officer
Rob graduated from Harvard College in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts in U.S.History and from Harvard Kennedy School of Government in 2007 with a Masters in Public Administration.
Rob grew up in Sitka. For many years he was President of the family business, Allen Marine Tours. From being a Captain to overseeing a fleet of vessels in Sitka, Juneau, and Ketchikan, Rob helped the company grow from a truly Mom and Pop operation to over 200 employees.
Currently, Rob serves on the Board of Directors for Sitka Sound Science Center and The Piatagorsky Foundation. He's been active in the community and throughout Alaska over the years, serving on the boards of Rasmuson Foundation, Southeast Conference, Sheldon Jackson College, Island Institute, Sitkans Against Family Violence, Foraker Group, Sitka Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the City and Borough of Sitka Assembly.
Kay C. Turner, PT, DPT
Kay graduated with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Creighton University in Omaha, NE in 2002 and an Honors Bachelor of Science degree from Oregon State University, in Corvallis, Oregon in 1999.
Kay grew up in Sitka and returned with her family in 2006. Kay has a strong background in outpatient orthopedics, and has a particular interest in the areas of women's health (pregnancy, incontinence, and pelvic pain), lymphedema, hand therapy and splinting, and custom foot orthotics casting and prescription.
Kay is the Rehabilitation Services Manager, Director of Outpatient Services, and Nursing Home Administrator for Sitka Community Hospital.
Steven T. Hartford, Director of Operations
Steve is a graduate of Fairfield University and has a law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. In addition to practicing law for many years, Steve served as a government attorney for 8 years specializing in legislative and regulatory matters. He also served as a Municipal and State government administrator for 6 years before coming to Sitka.
Initially hired as the Hospital's Chief Compliance Officer, responsible for Federal and State regulatory matters, Steve was promoted to Director of Operations in May of 2015 where he oversees compliance, quality improvement and Hospital support operations including facilities, housekeeping, biomedical engineering and food services. Along with the rest of the leadership team, Steve is also responsible to advise the CEO on the strategic direction of the Hospital.
